Dear TBMA Family,

I hope this email finds you safe and healthy.  It’s been a very interesting and unprecedented time for all of us.  I’m writing to confirm our plan to reopen our Tampa Bay Music Academy facility on Monday, May 18th.

Please know that the safety and health of our students, faculty, and staff is of utmost priority to us at Tampa Bay Music Academy.  If you are not comfortable returning to in-person lessons this soon, we will gladly continue to accommodate online lessons for you indefinitely, but our faculty and staff will teach both online and in-person lessons from our facilitystarting on the 18th.

As stated in our previous communication prior to the lock down, we will continue to follow our increased hygiene and cleanliness procedures stated here.

Here’s a short-list summary of what to expect:

  • We will practice social distancing.
  • Masks are not required, but are welcomed if you feel more comfortable wearing one.
  • If you have any of the known Coronavirus symptoms (listed here from the CDC), or if you are in the category of a high-risk vulnerable person, we ask for you to stay home and take your lesson online, instead of in-person.
  • We ask each student to carefully wash his/her hands prior to the start of each lesson.
  • We will increase the frequency of wiping down and sanitizing our instruments and equipment between lessons.
  • We will make hand sanitizer available on site for our students, guests, and employees.
  • Our lobby will be closed for now.  We ask that you wait in your vehicles between or during lessons rather than in our lobby, to reduce the amount of people that are in the building at any given time.

Please communicate directly with your teacher regarding your preference to return to in-person lessons or to continue online.

Thank you so much for your flexibility over the last couple of months and your continual support of music education at TBMA.  We are eager to resume our normal routine of life as soon as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.  We look forward to seeing you next week!

All the best,
John Tracy, Executive Director
