As Summer approaches each year, parents are constantly looking for fun, memorable, and educational opportunities for their children. With that in mind, Tampa Bay Music Academy is proud to offer several 1-week Summer Camps that run during morning hours (9:00AM – 12:00PM). These exciting camps provide a diverse range of opportunities for students that cultivate different musical skills, span multiple genres, and provide different group dynamics for them to thrive in. Rock Band
Registration: Open to students ages 8 and up
Dates: Monday through Friday, June 3rd through June 7th
Time: 9:00AM -12:00PM
Cost: $300 $250 *Special Early Bird Price if You Register Before May 13th
Focus: This class will provide an outlet for kids to play their instrument in a real rock band setting as they gain the skills, techniques, and professional insights required to sound awesome! A short concert will be presented to parents on the last day of class!
Requirements:1 to 2 years experience on your instrument
Composition
Registration: Open to students ages 10 and up
Dates: Monday through Friday, June 17th through June 21st
Time: 9:00AM -12:00PM
Cost: $300 $250 *Special Early Bird Price if You Register Before May 13th
Focus: This camp will provide students interested in creating and composing music with foundational skills, techniques, and professional insights required to begin their journey in music composition! Students will explore various aspects of composition, including music theory, compositional structure, melody, harmony, phrasing, and more. Each student will have the opportunity to record their own composition by the end of the week!
Requirements: 1 to 2 years experience on your instrument
Songwriting
Registration: Open to students ages 8 and up
Dates: Monday through Friday, June 24th through June 28th
Time: 9:00AM -12:00PM
Cost: $300 $250 *Special Early Bird Price if You Register Before May 13th
Focus: This camp will equip creative students with the skills, techniques, and professional insights required to write their own songs! Students will explore the many aspects of songwriting, including lyric writing, musical composition, song structure, and recording. Each student will have the opportunity to record their own song by the end of the week!
Requirements: 1 to 2 years experience on your instrument
String Chamber Ensemble
Registration: Open to middle school and high school age students
Dates: Monday through Friday, July 15th through July 19th
Time: 9:00AM -12:00PM
Cost: $300 $250 *Special Early Bird Price if You Register Before May 13th
Focus: This camp will provide an excellent collaborative opportunity for violin, viola, and cello students to participate in a chamber ensemble, learning the skills, techniques, and professional insights required to thrive in a group setting! Students participating in the camp will be featured in our Summer Recital on July 21st!
