Emily Shelburne is a graduate of Illinois State University, holding degrees in Piano Performance and New Media Music Composition. With extensive experience as an accompanist, Emily has worked with choirs of all ages, ranging from elementary school groups to collegiate ensembles. As a seasoned theater performer, Emily has performed in productions such as Mamma Mia!, The Addams Family, Trial by Jury, Bonnie and Clyde, and many others. In 2022, she made her debut as a music director in Illinois State’s Freestage production of Tick, Tick, Boom!
In addition to performing, Emily has been teaching for over seven years, offering lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. Emily is also an accomplished composer, with works spanning a wide variety of genres. From solo piano pieces to compositions for ensembles and full orchestra, Emily brings a diverse and creative approach to performance, composition and music education.
