Daniel Joiner, Executive Director and Teacher: Piano Lessons

Daniel Joiner is both the Executive Director and a piano teacher at Tampa Bay Music Academy. He has an extensive background in teaching, performing, and arranging and brings an impressive depth of skill and breadth of knowledge to our school.

Daniel’s prior experience includes special emphasis in jazz and contemporary music with educational training in the classical tradition. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in piano performance from Stetson University and a Master of Music in Jazz Studies – Performance from the University of South Florida.

Since graduating from college, Daniel has served in a variety of music roles including worship team member for local churches, adjunct professor at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg College, and Southeastern University, and private music instructor. He has also released two solo piano albums, partnered with several performers, bands, and orchestras as keyboardist and guest soloist, and provided music for a variety of corporate and private events and venues.

Daniel is also the author of a textbook for the Jazz Keyboard Skills course at USF and has completed many custom worship band arrangements in his church music roles.
