Tampa Bay Music Academy is excited to welcome Gonca Huff, our new cello professor! A native of Ankara, Turkey, Gonca began her music education at the Ankara State Conservatory of Music where she studied both piano and cello. She later relocated to Adana where she performed as principal cellist with the Cukurova Symphony and taught cello at the Adana State Conservatory. She also served as principal cellist for the Adana Symphony Orchestra and the New Adana Chamber Orchestra. She earned her bachelor’s degree in cello performance from Hacettepe University and then came to the U.S. on scholarship to study cello performance on the graduate level at Western Michigan University. Her experience also includes performances with numerous chamber groups, solo appearances, and orchestras.
